The Association of Watercolourists of Andalusia (AAA, Agrupación de Acuarelistas de Andalucía, Spain) is registered as a non-profit
cultural association, being founded in 1989 in Seville. Its main objectives are the promotion and dissemination of watercolour painting as
well as constituting a meeting, exchange and reference space for all those interested in this form of artistic expression in Andalusia, for
which it organizes and holds workshops, courses with prestigious watercolourists, exhibitions and collaborations with other entities and
associations that demand our participation. It currently has more than 450 associates, belonging to the European Confederation of
Watercolour Societies (ECWS) since 2002. It has actively participated in international exhibitions and symposiums held in Zaragoza (2007),
Segovia (2009), Bellagio (Italy). , 2009), Antwerp (Belgium, 2010), Turku (Finland), Genoa (Italy, 2012), Lötten (Norway, 2013), Córdoba
(2014), Llançà (2015), Avignon (France, 2016), Salamanca (2017 ), Krakow (Poland, 2018), Haapsalu (Estonia, 2019) and Ulm (Germany,
2021).
Annually, the AAA organizes the Andalusian Watercolour Meeting (end of February) and celebrates World Watercolour Day (November 23)
in the eight councils belonging to each province of our Andalusian region. Since 2008, our Association has published an annual
magazine-memory of activities called “Acuarela Información”.
